Basotel Hotel Indore

The property itself has potential, but it needs maintenance and staff training. I stayed three days, and the Wi-Fi never worked despite several follow-ups. Even a paid bottle of water took an hour to arrive, and I waited 30 minutes for a simple coffee at breakfast before giving up. At checkout, I asked for a 30-minute extension and was told, with a lot of attitude, that I'd be charged for it, even though the property wasn't occupied. I usually don't review places, but I was waiting to write this one. Please don't rely on the Google reviews, I don't think they're genuine and suspect a vendor is promoting them. If you can avoid this hotel, do. Treebo Grand is across from it, and there are a couple of other good options nearby. I believe this is a chain hotel, but after this experience I'd think a hundred times before choosing another Basotel Hotel in a different city. Management, please take this as a suggestion: the property is new and needs attention, and your staff need training. I hope you'll look into it.

The location worked well for us, very close to AB road and right beside a mall. There are two other hotels on the same stretch, and Utsah restuarant is just behind. We enjoyed the breakfast: three tasty choices, freshly prepared in the open restaurant, with good service. Satish ji also made the stay pleasant. When we raised the room issue with him that evening, he offered us another room of the same size without a bathtub, and made sure we were happy with it. Thanks to him, we had a good stay. Getting to that point was frustrating. We had booked a premium room with a bathtub, but the day before arrival the hotel told us we'd been assigned a standard twin sharing room because they'd overbooked. Agoda arranged a refund for the price difference, but the standard room had dirty sheets. When we asked the receptionist to have them changed, she said it would be done in the evening, which left us feeling awful about where we were staying. We had also tried contacting the hotel through Agoda chat for days and got no reply. If someone had checked those messages, we'd have known about the downgrade. Please avoid overbooking. The rooms aren't soundproof. Our room faced a busy road, and being on the top floor, we could also hear workers in the kitchen outside. Checkout was awkward too: we were told to wait, then after 15-20 minutes of asking again, the receptionist went to inspect and clear the room. It was an okay stay overall, and with the room issue handled properly at the start it could have been wonderful. I'm attaching pictures of the twin room and the upgraded one.

The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind after a busy day, and the location was convenient for getting to major attractions. Our room was spacious, clean, and well looked after, with the amenities we needed and a comfortable bed. Housekeeping's attention to detail stood out. The restaurant food was fresh, tasty, and had plenty of variety, while room service was prompt. From arrival, the staff were welcoming and happy to help. Check-in was quick and smooth, so we felt comfortable right away. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend it for comfort, good service, and value. We'd be glad to come back.

The staff were courteous, and the rooms felt clean and quiet. It's conveniently near the main road, a mall, and a bus stop. Breakfast choices were limited, but that was fine. There isn't a buffet, they bring breakfast to the room. A nice experience overall.
