Cosmopolitan Hotel Indore

This feels more like a railway dorm than a hotel, and my stay was pathetic. The service was so poor. They provided no toiletries apart from a dirty-looking bottle of shampoo. I didn't need shampoo, but I did need a comb. When I asked the receptionist for one while checking out, he rudely said, “We don't have any.” I explained I hadn't combed my hair and just needed one, but he got more agitated and nearly yelled. In the service industry, you can say no without being rude.

The curtains were damaged, and the flush stopped working. The overall atmosphere wasn't good, so my stay was pathetic.

The linens and bathrooms were spotless, the staff were really good, and service was prompt and hassle-free. Food was reasonably priced. The rooms are quite small, and maintenance isn't great. Some places, like the corridors and lift, were filthy, and the lighting was poor in parts. The hotel is right next to the railway station, which means it can get very crowded. That could be good or bad, depending on how you see it. For the price, it's a value-for-money place if all you need is somewhere to sleep at night.

I booked through Cleartrip and paid 2200/day, but I couldn't stay beyond one night. The electric switches were all broken, and the toilet flush didn't work. There was no extra mattress for the 3 rd person. They'd said food would be brought to the room, but when we called, we were told nothing was available. At first, the intercoms didn't work either. Management was careless and took no responsibility.
