When I wasn’t feeling well, Dependra Manager went out of his way to help. He arranged fruit in my room and kindly sorted out a late checkout. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness and care. I had a very pleasant stay.

The in-house restaurant was affordable and the food was delicious. Staff were helpful, polite, and well-mannered throughout. We had one of the best stays of our trip, and since it was our anniversary, the surprise cake was a lovely touch. The rooms were great, from cleanliness to service. A 10/10 experience, highly recommended. ✨

The food was a letdown across the menu: the pasta was far too sweet, the chicken tikka tough and chewy, the fish tikka unseasoned, and the assorted pastries stale. The tiramisu wasn’t traditional, just hard, stale sponge cake. Bhindi masala was slimy, and the main course was average at best. Cut fruit was the best item, though it needed no preparation. I’d told them about my food allergies beforehand, but dishes with allergens were served without any warning. The chef later offered two bland, tasteless starters. Service was poor and staff rude, and getting more of the ready-made starters seemed like too much trouble. When I asked for peri peri masala for the unseasoned crispy chicken, I could see through an open kitchen door a junior chef scratching his butt with his hand inside his pants. It was disgusting, and left me questioning the hygiene at a premium property charging so much for tasteless food. I raised this with the manager, who hurried off saying the feedback would be passed to the chef. Someone else brought the bill and added a service charge despite the awful experience. Effotel used to be great for hospitality, food, and ambience. Now it seems food quality and customer feedback aren’t priorities. I’m really disappointed.

Miss Isha, Anilesh, and the whole supportive team made us feel at home. The hotel was in a great spot for sightseeing, and our room was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. We had a wonderful stay, with warm hospitality and top-notch service. Thank-you to Miss Isha, Anilesh and all.
