Hotel Meritel Grande, Vijay Nagar, Indore

The buffet was the biggest disappointment, both for its food quality and its limited variety. My room also felt cramped because it was on the small side, and the service needs a noticeable lift. For a place advertising 3-star amenities, the stay didn't quite match the claim. Better service and more attention to food quality could make it a much more satisfying experience.

I paid about ₹2400 for a last-minute overnight booking that included parking, but the room felt claustrophobic. The double bed took up around 85-90% of the floor, leaving hardly any space to move, and both the sheet and blanket were stained. Even the tiny bathroom made it awkward to stand and shower. There was no charging point by the bed, and the only socket I could use was across the room. I've had larger, better-equipped rooms in Tier 1 cities for much less. I wouldn't recommend this if space and convenience matter to you.

Hotel Meritel Grande is in a peaceful, convenient spot, and the food was tasty and served on time. My room was spacious, clean, and well kept, and the staff stayed polite, helpful, and professional from check-in through check-out. It felt like good value for money. I'd gladly recommend it for a business trip or a family stay.

I booked Hotel Meretel Grande, Vijay Nagar, Indore through Goibibo, and when I asked to leave and get a refund, the reception refused to help, saying I had to deal with Goibibo. After several calls, their customer care kept telling me the hotel wasn't responding. I waited more than an hour, until it was past midnight, and ended up having to stay there. The first room smelled foul and was unhygienic, and the replacement they showed me was just as dirty and smelly. Management seemed careless and unprofessional about guest comfort. I strongly advise people to avoid it. It was a waste of money and peace of mind, and I think it should be removed from booking platforms.
