Hotel Purva

I spent half a day trying to find a better room for my senior citizen parents, but every room I checked was in similar condition. Staff were uncooperative, and the cleaning they did after we asked was superficial. The rooms were dusty, with dirty floors and furniture that hadn't been properly swept. Toilets and bathrooms were unhygienic, and none of the AC units worked. At first, reception couldn't even find our booking, then they assigned rooms that clearly hadn't been cleaned. The hotel's maintenance was extremely poor, and both the owners and staff seemed careless and unconcerned. It wasn't value for money, and I wouldn't recommend it. If you're paying for accommodation while visiting Indore, make sure it's worth it. After a long day of travel and sightseeing, you deserve somewhere clean and comfortable. Don't compromise on your stay.

The location was the only good thing. Staff were unprofessional, and one of them came into my room asking if I wanted to order starters or other food. There was an obvious smell of smoke in the room, and there was no parking. Staff told me to leave my car about 50 metres away. Overnight, someone deliberately damaged it and pulled off the front number plate.

My mother called to ask whether rooms were available, and the staff spoke to her very rudely and disrespectfully. When I called later to raise the issue, things got worse: the person on the phone used abusive language and was completely unprofessional. That kind of treatment is unacceptable and reflects badly on Hotel Purva's management. Basic courtesy and respect should be a minimum in hospitality. Customer service here is seriously lacking, so I’d advise others to think twice before considering this place.

The manager at reception is rude and doesn't know how to speak to guests. They make commitments when you book, then after check-in say you've misunderstood and that you need to check out or pay more. If you book here, get the quotation and the check-in and check-out dates and times in writing. Be careful when booking with the hotel management.
