Tirupati Palace Hotel

We chose this place because of the good reviews, but the stay fell short from the moment we arrived. I had called ahead and a person named “Lucky” offered two rooms for four people because one room couldn't fit us all. When we got there, the person I'd booked with wasn't available, and the owner, “Arpit Jain,” was asleep in a room while we waited to check in. Arpit said he was the owner and gave us a room; we asked for extra beds for the other two of us. The room had no bin, and the drawers were full of bags and rubbish, so they couldn't be used. There was dust, hair, and cigarette butts around, and it only got mopped after we asked. The sheets had marks on them, and we had to ask for a comforter. We also requested four towels, but were told they usually provide only three; we got four after insisting. Power went out every few hours, and the generator supply was limited. The AC, controlled from the front desk, took a while to cool the room. Water stopped in our ground-floor room, G1, at 7:30 a.m. because of a leak. We were told a tanker would arrive soon; after waiting, the water came back, and they gave us a bucket for immediate use. I wouldn't recommend that anyone put up with these problems.
