Alaya Stays Ramalaya 8BHK with Garden

The ventilation was very poor, and reception even turns off the installed ventilation. Rooms were clean, but they weren’t cleaned again if you stayed more than one day. The property is average and affordable. Room service staff were cooperative only during the day. At check-in, nobody helped with the bags, so you have to carry them yourself. When ordering to the room, ask for the bill or check the menu if you’re paying them, or they may charge extra. Be aware.

Hygiene is zero here. The toilets were dirty, smelly, and unhygienic, and the bedsheets and pillows were filthy. Lots of things in the room were broken, including the mirror, commode, and taps, and the showers didn’t work properly. The AC and television were also unreliable. Staff were okay, though some were careless. Food was average and expensive, and they overcharge. The rooms don’t deserve those prices. Don’t go!

The washrooms were so dirty and unusable, which may be why there aren’t more photos of them. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned again and for the bedsheets to be changed, but staff refused, saying it was the only good sheet they had and they’d already changed it. For extra bedding they just put spoiled sheets on a sofa cum bed. We’d booked through Agoda but were given the wrong room. They said it wasn’t their fault and we’d get that room unless we paid extra, so we had to pay in an emergency. It felt like they had tactics to get more money from guests. The staff were rude, and I saw no sign of women’s safety. Not worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I stayed for a day and left my bag there briefly. When I came back, they wouldn’t let me change in a room and told me to use their filthy shared washroom instead. The manager was rude, cheap, and unprofessional. This was a substandard hotel with no regard for women’s safety. Don’t stay here if you care about your safety or dignity.
