Check the door lock as soon as you get to your room, because ours wasn’t working. The bedsheet and pillow cover were dirty too. Also, hotel purchases cost 50% more than the market price. I paid 60 rupees for a half-litre cold drink that was priced at 40 rupees, so confirm the price before buying anything.

From the hotel, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, City Palace, RTDC, Jantar Mantar, and Bapu Bazaar were about 15 minutes away by car or e-rickshaw, which made it a convenient base for our Jaipur trip. We stayed two nights at Hotel Amar Vilas Palace, also listed as OYO 72370 : Hotel Amar Palace. The three of us, all bachelors, shared one accommodation for 800 INR a night. Our room was neat, and the staff brought an extra bedsheet and other things we needed without any hassle. There are local shops across the road near the mosque, and the view from the front looks out over the mountains and highway. Thanks to Sanjay Chauhan for letting us check in at 1 AM. The fan in the corner room was a little noisy, though, and could use a fix.

The room price was raised from what we had reserved, the bathroom was in very poor condition, and the hotel staff provided very bad service.

The hotel’s service was poor, with no proper follow-up. Its online service was very bad too.
