Hotel Ganga Kripa

The room was overpriced and poorly maintained, and it wasn't properly clean. The food cost too much, and the cook didn't seem professional, serving vegetables that were only half cooked. The service was practically nonexistent, and the price was high for what you got. I wouldn't recommend it to families, couples, or solo travellers. An autorickshaw driver took us from the Railway station. I believe the driver and hotel had a tie-up to scam tourists. They ask for two to three days' payment in advance, which makes it hard to check out after just one night. Don't rely on what the drivers tell you.

The toilet was awful and the flush didn't work. Dust covered the room, the linens were dirty, and the bedsheets were torn. The blankets looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in years. A really horrible stay.

A friend's iPhone charger and a bottle of perfume went missing from our bags. We reported it to the hotel management, but that didn't help. Very bad experience.

My local friend introduced me to this hidden gem. At The White Garden cafe, you can sit downstairs or at tables on the rooftop, have chai, and relax. The ambient lighting in the evening makes it a great sunset spot, and there's a speaker so you can enjoy music you like. The people here really look after you, and the food was incredible.
