Hotel Keptown

I stayed at the hotel yesterday. The room was dirty, the TV didn't work, and the AC seemed to work only like a cooler. The bedsheet and pillow cover smelled, and the pillow itself had an odor too. The whole hotel looked dirty. I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had every amenity I could ask for. It was also immaculately clean. From beginning to end, the stay was outstanding, with warm, professional staff who were always ready to do extra to make sure I was comfortable.

After seeing the room, I asked for a refund. They instead offered me a room at a nearby hotel, which was much better, so I moved there. I'd booked this place based only on its photos and reviews, but what I found on arrival looked nothing like the images. The room they showed me was dirty and smelly, some lights didn't work, and there was a cockroach. The staff were rude and didn't know how to speak to customers. When I raised these problems, one staff member said I was the first customer to complain and that regular customers never complained. There weren't any other rooms to choose from. To the owner: please train the staff to treat customers properly. If you can't provide the room quality described, at least provide good service.

Everything about the hotel was good, but 3500 Indian rupees for one night felt quite expensive.
