Hotel Konark

We stayed three days and never got the room cleaned, even after asking several times. The staff were arrogant and really unpleasant. An auto driver took us here. From outside, and at first glance, things looked good, and the room itself was clean, but the washroom was very dirty. Don't take a room here.

Don't get caught out by the nice looking front and reception lobby. The rooms were in bad condition and hygiene was poor. The bathroom was awful, with water running constantly and a messy toilet. Food was tasteless, served on dirty plates and in a broken bowl. Service was poor too, with torn sheets and a damaged blanket. We called reception many times about cleaning and service problems, but nobody came. I'd avoid this place, including hotels suggested by local agents. Please check my photos and be aware.

From Hotel Konark, it was easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The location in Chandpole made getting to Jaipur's old city, markets, and sightseeing spots convenient, and the railway station was easy to reach too. Prices felt reasonable for a comfortable stay in the city center. Our room was clean and comfortable, with hot water and basic amenities. The staff were friendly and gave us useful tips on nearby places to eat, local transport, and when to visit the forts and markets. A nice, simple option if you want to stay centrally in Jaipur.

The bathroom didn't work for most of our stay, and repeated calls to have it repaired led nowhere. Then, on checkout day, I got about six or seven calls early in the morning telling us to leave right away. Nobody had told us in advance that checkout would be at the same time as check-in. We'd paid the full amount when we arrived. There were three women and my 13-year-old brother in our group, and the staff were rude and inconsiderate when we tried to explain the checkout confusion. We came to Jaipur early in the morning, and our tuk-tuk driver brought us here because other hotels were either full or unclean. We stayed for 2-3 days. Jaipur itself was wonderful, but this stay spoiled part of the trip. Very disappointed with the service and management.
