Nana Ki Haveli Hotel

The only reason I’m giving two stars is for the heritage beauty of the place. It feels as if that has been left to the current, careless management. The hotel may have been nice a long time ago, but now it’s dirty, very aged, and the amenities are obsolete and malfunctioning. The lady offers what she calls breakfast in a grand saloon, but it’s just plain toast, tea, and a disgusting, dirty homemade jam. For eggs, you have to wait for shops to open and then the daughter goes to buy them just for you. It can take over an hour, while you fill up on toast and tea. The neighbourhood is a dirty slum area, and there’s a permanent rubbish dump by the entrance, with lots of crows and rats. Forget paying by card, it’s cash only, and they don’t give a bill. The whole impression is that they rely on one-time guests drawn in by misleading pictures, take the money, and then forget them.

The location is perfect for the old city, and breakfast was simple, tasty, and a solid start to the day. My wife and I stayed for four days and had a great time. We had the suite, room 107, which had loads of character. The host, owner, and patron was wonderful and very accommodating. We strongly recommend staying here when you’re in Jaipur.

The owner was helpful and good, and the place itself is nice, but it wasn’t somewhere I’d choose for a relaxing stay. We had to switch rooms three times to find one with hot water, and there was no staff around. The bathroom needs renovation. Breakfast was just bread, butter, jam, and similar basics.

Simple breakfast and a cozy, welcoming feel made this a lovely stay. It’s tucked away from the main street but still close to the market and all the tourist spots. I had a great time here.
