Om Palace Hotel

The staff were all the same: pleasant before payment, awful afterward. There was no accountability, professionalism, or hygiene. The hotel looked worn down, and smelled of cheap cleaning chemicals that couldn't hide years of neglect. The toilets were filthy, with stains and hair, and I gagged. There was no hot water at all, just an ice-cold shower in Jaipur winter. When we complained, the bald man with glasses at reception and his equally rude staff demanded extra money for hot water, even though we'd paid in full at check-in. We refused, and they got extremely arrogant, acting like we were harassing them for asking for promised basics. At check-in, the reception guy, in his mid-50s, half-bald, with thick glasses and a permanent scowl, was all smiles and “yes sir, no problem sir” while he was still waiting for my money. Once the full payment was on the counter and the receipt was printed, his attitude flipped. He became rude and arrogant, looking at us like street beggars who had overstayed their welcome. I recently stayed at this so-called “palace” in Jaipur, and it was the worst hotel experience of my life. Calling it pathetic doesn't do the word justice. This dirty, dishonest, money-grabbing dump should be shut down. Save your money, sanity, and dignity. This is a trap, and I'd rather sleep on the Jaipur footpath than set foot in Hotel Om Palace / Bharat Palace again. A complete waste of time, money, and energy. Never again. Avoid like the plague.
