OYO 23254 Hotel Aqua

Our family was left standing outside while we searched for another hotel, and the receptionist didn't even ask us to sit inside. We had booked 2 rooms and paid an advance, but they refused to give us rooms, saying the hotel hadn't received the advance from Fab Hotel. A really awful experience. Please don't go to this hotel or deal with Fab Hotel.

There were no basic services. The staff were very rude and uncooperative, and the TV and AC didn't work. The rooms were awful and hadn't been cleaned on time. They opened our rooms without permission, which was a clear breach of privacy and illegal too. In one washroom there was no hot water. When we asked, they said they'd give us a rod to heat it ourselves, but provided just one rod for 3 rooms. We asked for towels on the first day and got none. The next day they gave us 2 towels, both torn and unhygienic. One washroom was clogged, and one room had no telephone. The hotel's service, pictures, and reviews were completely different from what was on the website.

We checked in around 6 pm hoping to sleep comfortably, but the whole night was ruined. The air conditioner leaked water everywhere, and staff were unresponsive when I asked about breakfast. After some discussion, one offered to bring poha from a roadside place. We refused, then he offered aloo parantha from the adjacent restaurant, Anna madrasi. The room wasn't like the one shown on the Agoda site, and it wasn't clean. There was a cigarette smell, cigarette butts under the TV cabinet, gutkha spit marks, and stains on the bedsheet. The toilet bowl was dirty, the seat cover had come loose from the bowl, and the shower didn't work properly. They served drinking water in a used aquA fina bottle with the seal cap broken.

The receptionist told my family the photos were from ten years ago, and the room and washroom looked nothing like them. They didn't even have an extra bedsheet. This hotel needs a massive upgrade.
