OYO 8307 Hotel Garden View

The only real plus was the location. Check-in took 25 minutes, and although they offer valet parking, the car is parked outside rather than in an indoor lot. Our room was on the first floor above the kitchen and smelled awful. The lift doesn’t stop there, so you have to use the stairs, which also stink from the basement kitchen. The walls were dirty, the room smelled, there were no fans or other ventilation, and the AC blew smelly air. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, though it was okay otherwise and had hot water. The mattress was torn and broken, with a sunken oval shape when you lie on it. There’s a restro-bar upstairs and downstairs, so it gets noisy at night. We had breakfast included through Agoda, but they denied having that booking. Service was okay and the food was fine and reasonably priced, though you have to pay as soon as it’s delivered to the room instead of adding it to the booking bill, which was inconvenient.

The hotel was very dirty, nobody came to clean, and the TV didn’t work. I was told staff would be sent, but they never showed up and were busy with other work. There were too many mosquitoes, the towel was dirty, and the soap kit was made of flimsy material. I booked expecting OYO, but the place was actually a different hotel called lux. The staff were cooperative and their service was good, but there’s no restaurant in the hotel. The room and bathroom weren’t cleaned properly, and the sofa was very dirty. The OYO executive described it as their best Townhouse Hotel when I booked, but it didn’t feel that way to me.

The room wasn’t worth more than 600 rs per night, and we had a very bad experience. The hotel is listed under the wrong name as oyo townhouse hotel garden view, but it’s actually lux hotel. Our room didn’t match the app photos and was very small. There was a constant smell of kitchen and smoke in the room and lift, and the washroom geyser didn’t work. Their inhouse club played loud music until 3-4 am. Breakfast was very bad, with only 2-3 options, and the staff and manager weren’t supportive. We asked for pickle with poori bhaji and were told it wasn’t on the breakfast menu.
