Hotel Star Inn

We arrived at 5 in the morning, despite having booked from the previous day, and immediately staff tried to charge extra for AC even though our booking was for an AC room. We had to complain to goibibo first thing that morning before they resolved it. The staff were extremely rude and uncooperative, the rooms were dirty, and the flush didn't work. At checkout they tried charging us for the complimentary water bottle too, so we had to complain again. A terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to outsiders.

We were charged for small favors like bottle openers and air freshener sprays, and there's no restaurant. Staff were well behaved, and the hotel has its own parking, which is handy. It's close to the highway, so getting on and off NH8 is easy, but reaching the city is a task. Government buses start right opposite the hotel, as I found out when I used one. For the return, a cab or rickshaw works. It seems a bit overpriced, perhaps because I booked at the last minute. The solar heating doesn't provide hot water early in the morning, so if you bathe daily you'll have to make do with cold water. I left at 6:30 am when it was around 10 degrees C and skipped my bath. They gave me a heating rod the day before, but it takes ages, and a family's schedule would be thrown off. I hope the hotel takes this into account.

The staff's behavior made me feel unwelcome and ruined my stay at Hotel Star Inn, Jaipur. When I asked for a water bottle at 8 in the morning, one staff member yelled at me. I tried speaking to the manager later, but that same person got even ruder and accused me of causing trouble. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless they address the staff's attitude.

The rooms are OK, but the bed sheets were dirty and the blanket covers were in bad shape. The people were OK, though the food was quite spicy. These things need improvement.
