Radisson Blu Jaipur

If you need to stay near the airport, the location and helpful service team are the hotel’s biggest pluses. The staff were attentive, the food tasted good, and breakfast had a decent spread. I also liked the music artist playing during breakfast, a thoughtful touch. Still, the standards felt average for a Radisson: the hotel is old and badly needs renovation, and the room amenities seemed like those in OYO rooms. I wonder why an international brand like Radisson overlooks those details.

I can’t recommend Radisson Blu Jaipur for business trips, and I’ve already told our travel desk to stop choosing it. The breakfast buffet was good, with live counters and fresh juice, though not exactly lip-smacking. Hot water and Tata Sky worked, and valet parking was available. But at the current price, the Radisson experience is missing. It might be acceptable at 3000 to 4000 a night. The room smelled musty and old and hadn’t been cleaned properly. Names left by previous guests, Simmi & Neha, were still there. We had to keep asking for items despite a double booking, and staff seemed short. There were no welcome drinks or baggage assistance. My colleague was refused early check-in, while a foreign national who arrived later got a room straight away. Fixtures were rusty, the heater was broken, and the lighting was complicated. There was no direct room service line, calls went to reception.

Breakfast was the only decent part, though service was poor and the dining room was too hot. The spa was extremely overpriced, and it was hot and uncomfortable there too. The entrance looks lavish, but the rest of the stay at Radisson Blu Jaipur was very disappointing. The rooms smelled musty, with visible rust on the fixtures, which doesn’t meet the claim of a 5-star property. The AC was a major problem. We had to call several times before they offered us another room. It was cooler for the first night, but hot again by night three. The thermostat was broken and hanging, displaying 19°C even though the room was clearly much warmer. This felt like a 3-star experience at best, nowhere near worth the price or expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I stayed one night on a quick Jaipur trip. The bed was cozy and very comfortable, and the room had the essentials and toiletries I needed. The breakfast spread was nice, though 10:30 am feels like an early buffet cutoff; 11 would suit most travelers better. Some of the food was no longer hot near closing time. At the front desk, the staff were nice but could have been more attentive and welcoming. I missed seeing a smile, and the people at the gate seemed a bit nonchalant too. The room service bill for two cups of tea and toast was over 1500 INR, which was appalling. Aside from a few shortcomings, it was a nice stay, and I’m sure Radisson will take them into consideration.
