Ritz Residency Hotel

The location is good, but it doesn’t help when the room is so unpleasant. It smelled, the bathroom was filthy, and its broken door wouldn’t latch from inside. We had booked for November 8-10, but checked out after just two hours. The staff were rude and initially wouldn’t let us check in despite the advance booking. Only after the manager called someone else did that person speak with us and sort it out. They still refused to refund us. A thoroughly inconvenient stay.

The hotel wouldn’t allow visitors, even for a brief visit, and the staff spoke to us rudely and disrespectfully. I’d booked two nights, but the environment was so unbearable that I left the next day. A very bad experience, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The washroom was cramped, had no soap, and the washbasin wouldn’t drain. Towels were wet, and the rooms and towels didn’t seem properly cleaned, so the laundry service felt pointless. The stairs were very dark, too. The phone was dead and hygiene was poor. If all you need is a cheap place for one night and expect nothing else, it might do.

Both rooms we booked were in the same condition, and the pictures were misleading. When I asked the manager why the rooms didn’t look like the photos, he said those were different, old pictures. The toilets were dirtier than a train’s, the flush didn’t work properly, and the bathroom doors were broken. Corridor lights were out, people had spat on the walls and it hadn’t been cleaned, and there was no table or mirror in the room. They didn’t provide clean water bottles either.
