Hotel Grand Khalifa

The food was a real highlight, including breakfast, though it was a bit expensive. We enjoyed dining on the terrace too. Grand Khalifa in Jaisalmer is beautifully designed, blending Jaisalmer and Afghani décor, and looked promising from the reviews after we moved closer to the fort. Check-in was smooth and the manager seemed warm and welcoming. The approach road and neighborhood aren't great, though, and the polite staff lacked the polish and professionalism I'd expect in hospitality. Our spacious room had no windows, which felt claustrophobic, and the AC never worked properly despite repeated complaints. The pool looked dirty and wasn't well maintained. There also seemed to be too few staff, and not enough balance in staffing, which made things a little uncomfortable for a family. It's an attractive property with excellent food, but service, maintenance, and comfort need significant work.

The rooftop restaurant is awesome, but the food quality needs work. The curries were good, while the rotis weren't up to standard, and there were no tandoor varieties. The breakfast selection was limited too. The property itself is beautiful and the rooms are spacious, though brighter upholstery could make them feel brighter. The location isn't good, and the front desk felt robotic, with no greeting or welcome. Better hospitality and cooking skills could help this property reach its potential.

The views of the city and fort were stunning, and the location was perfect for getting to major attractions. My stay at Grand Khalifa Hotel near Jaisalmer Fort was amazing. The staff were polite and helpful, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. My room was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jaisalmer.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Grand Khalifa, Jaisalmer, with a clean, spacious, comfortable room and friendly staff who were always ready to help. Special mention to Khan Bhai, who's been working here for 10 years. His warm hospitality and the way he entertained us made the stay memorable. Highly recommended for a visit to Jaisalmer.
