Hotel Bhanwar Haveli

The building decor is the only reason I’m giving this one star. The stay was awful. The rooms smelled bad, and one had no ventilation. The beds were terrible, with mattresses that felt like they had springs and no foam. Pillow covers were dirty, the blanket and covers had stains, and we weren’t given towels. We asked repeatedly for an extra mattress after being charged for it, but never got one. The geyser worked, but a plumbing problem meant hot water came very slowly. The place felt unhygienic and uneasy, with very dim lighting and no atmosphere. Reception, room service, and housekeeping staff were rude. The location wasn’t good either. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it.

We paid a hefty 30% advance for our online booking, but at check-in the owner demanded full payment and told us to leave if we couldn’t pay it all then. He spoke very rudely, had no basic manners with guests, and started abusing us at the entrance counter. We were 16 people with over 30 bags, but instead of giving us room keys, he kept demanding the balance. He was drunk, according to what I saw, and left empty bottles in other guests’ rooms. For two days he had us drag our bags from one room to another. He hadn’t given us keys to two rooms and told us to leave them open, which we couldn’t do after seeing him asleep in other rooms after drinking. After an argument, he offered a different room because he didn’t have the key to the one assigned to us. He also made another guest leave before checkout so he could give us a room with a key. The next day, another guest had the same problem with being asked for full advance payment and getting no room service. The room condition was pathetic. The owner didn’t keep the surroundings clean, and drainage water came out of a hole directly in front of the hotel entrance throughout the day, making it difficult to get in. Don’t book here at any cost, look for another hotel. You’re saying we took a 200-rupee room, right? I’ve attached a photo of the bill, check it. If you went to school in your life, you might be able to read it.

We booked a room at Shree Bhanwar Haveli two months ahead, but they cancelled it when we arrived to check in during the Diwali vacation. Other hotels were already full, so my family and I were left with nowhere to stay. The staff were careless and unprofessional, and didn’t even try to help us find a solution. It felt like a scam and a betrayal of customers’ trust that ruined our plans. Avoid Shree Bhanwar Haveli if you don’t want your trip to become a nightmare.

Zero rating. One thing to say: don’t stay here, you’ll end up banging your head against a wall. Money wasted. My stay in Jaisalmer was really bad. The room wasn’t clean, had no wardrobe, and there were spider webs in every corner. The fan was filthy, furniture dusty, and the bedsheets were stained and unwashed. The bathroom smelled terrible, and the tap and shower didn’t work properly. No towel, toiletries, or drinking water was provided. The old building wasn’t maintained, and we checked out without even bathing. Service was extremely poor, and the staff seemed uninterested and unprofessional. The rooftop restaurant was awful, like a dirty roadside dhaba. Breakfast was just poha, tea, and poori sabzi. The food was average, oily, and cold. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone visiting jaisalmer. There are much better nearby choices with cleaner rooms, better service, and a nicer stay.
