Hotel Chouhan Heritage

The check-out was unpleasant. The stated time was 10:00 AM, and staff came to our room to tell us it had passed. We asked for a little more time, but they came back just 10 minutes later with the same message. The hotel was almost empty, so if it had been full, I could have understood the urgency.

The place was dirty, old, and poorly maintained. The sheets and towels were stained, and there was hair in a bed that was meant to be clean. We asked for fresh sheets before going to dinner, but when we got back, they hadn't been changed. Staff said they could replace them, but the new ones would still be stained. When we pointed out hair on the pillowcases and sheets, they seemed very unconcerned. The bathroom was in even worse condition than the room, and I wouldn't use it. Hotel Gopal, where we stayed in Khambhat, was cleaner. Whatever the price, a clean bed should mean fresh sheets for each guest. I can't understand how anyone could rate or recommend this place above two stars.

The location was okay, but it couldn't make up for the poor condition of The Jaislmer Resort. There was a foul smell throughout, and the rooms, especially the bathrooms, were unhygienic, in very bad shape, and in urgent need of repairs. The facilities fell short of basic standards and didn't justify staying there. Breakfast was below average, with few options and poor quality. Overall, the property lacked basic upkeep and hospitality, and the experience was very poor. I wouldn't recommend it.

To Vishnu, we were comfortable throughout our stay thanks to the cooperative manager. The resort was beautiful and well maintained, and the food exceeded our expectations. The Laal Maas was especially delicious, full of authentic flavor and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended!
