We stayed at Desert Tulip Jaisalmer from 11th to 13th February and found the whole place peaceful, with a beautiful ambience that suits Jaisalmer. Everything was spick and span, from the rooms to the washrooms. Our room was very spacious, and the large, modern washroom was spotless, which made things comfortable. The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and delicious, a lovely way to start each day in those quiet surroundings. Staff were courteous, polite, and quick to handle every request with a smile, so we felt valued. For luxury at a reasonable price in Jaisalmer, we'd recommend it. We left with lovely memories and hope to return.

Jan 10 2016: The rooms were basic, with average quality materials, and the heaters barely warmed them. I asked for another heater and got one that worked a little better, but my colleague in a separate room never got a properly working one. Breakfast was decent, though it was disappointing to have it in one of the halls with tables laid out rather than in the restaurant. The hotel has the usual old-palace look, with an open central area. This was my first time in Jaisalmer, and I still wonder why so many tourists come at this time of year. It's crazy cold, though definitely better than the crazy summer heat. I wouldn't stay at this property again.

The meals were a real highlight, all delicious, well made, and full of flavor. It was a wonderful visit in a beautiful setting that felt calm and refreshing. The staff were humble, polite, and always willing to help, which made everything more comfortable. I'd happily come back.

The hotel is beautiful and the food is amazing. Staff were friendly, quick to respond, and available whenever we needed service. It was a lovely stay and a great experience. I'd recommend anyone visiting Jaisalmer stay here once.

The cultural shows and campfires were good, and service was fine. The overall feel of the place was nice, though the rooms seemed a little dated. There wasn't anywhere to put shampoo or shower gel while bathing, and the glass screen between the shower and toilet didn't keep the water in, so it ended up by the washbasin. The rooms are on the first floor with no lift. Staff carried our luggage, but some kind of automated lifting setup would make their work easier. I'd call it about a 3.75-star experience.
