The rooftop lounge was a favorite, especially for watching the sunrise over breakfast. It's easy to imagine spending the whole day there, taking in the views and quiet atmosphere. We also had a wonderful host in Mr. Deepu, who carefully helped plan and arrange our tours and made sure everything went smoothly. We stayed in the Super Deluxe Room, with a breathtaking city view from atop the fort. It was spacious, well maintained, and thoughtfully decorated with antique pieces. The room's beautiful look made it feel like stepping back hundreds of years, while still being comfortable. Hotel Raj Mandir is inside Jaisalmer Fort, which is special in a place described as India's only living fort, where people still reside. Being within its walls added a real sense of history and made the stay memorable. I'd highly recommend this heritage experience to anyone visiting Jaisalmer.

Being able to stay inside Sonar Kella was a dream for me, and it added so many lovely memories to the trip. The fort setting makes everything feel close and gives you a real sense of the heritage. The place was clean, properly maintained, and hygiene was clearly looked after. The owner’s guidance was especially useful and helped us make the most of the experience. I’d happily recommend it.

The rooftop and the room’s jharokha both have lovely views, and the atmosphere is calm and beautiful. The fort location also means you can walk to all the places we wanted to visit. Staff were polite, too. Easily the best stay I’ve had.

Deepu Ji and Iran were so warm and kind, which made the stay even more memorable. We loved the cozy rooms and those breathtaking views. Being right inside historic Jaisalmer Fort felt special, and we had delicious lunch and dinner at different nearby restaurants, all with stunning fort views. The golden city felt peaceful and serene. I won’t forget it. ☺️

The room was well kept, and the terrace has a great view. You’re inside the fort walls with a beautiful view over the city. Breakfast choices are limited, though what they serve is well made. They also stick firmly to checkout time and rushed us out right when it arrived.
