Hotel Surya Villas

The staff were helpful and service was quick, bottled water was available without limit, and I liked the food. The location was just okay. My room was clean, but the washroom wasn't up to standard. I asked for it to be cleaned, though it still wasn't satisfactory afterward. There was a power cut in the middle of the night. They had a generator, but it took a long time to get things sorted. It was November and not too hot, luckily, or the stay would have been much worse.

The view from the King Suite was the best part, with Vyas Chhatri clearly visible and beautiful sunsets. The room was neat and comfortable, and the price seemed fair for the room and view. Staff were cooperative and let us leave our luggage there for 5-6 hours after checkout, which was really convenient. Getting to the property wasn't easy, and parking was tricky for our three Himalayan 450s. We also found the rooftop restaurant concerning: we glanced into the kitchen and its condition looked unhygienic and disappointing. The stay was comfortable, though location, parking, and restaurant hygiene need attention.

The worst part was breakfast: dirty plates, cold food, and spoons that were extremely unhygienic. In the room, the bedsheets were dirty, pillows had visible oil stains, and the towels were torn and fraying. The bathrooms weren't clean either. I was also pressured to leave a 5-star rating before we left, which I didn't do. A very disappointing stay, with serious problems in basic hygiene and cleanliness.

Yashpal, the manager, was especially helpful whenever I needed something and made the stay more comfortable. The staff were polite and genuinely willing to help, the rooms were clean and well maintained, and the view from Tripli Surya Villas was awesome. Restaurant food was very tasty. I was extremely happy with my stay and highly recommend it.
