Mahadev Palace

The outside ambience looked good, but once inside, the lobby was very dirty and the room was a letdown. It smelled damp, the bedding and towels were dirty, and basic amenities were missing. There was no electric kettle, bottled water, tea or coffee setup, and we had no hot water in the bathroom. The food was disappointing too. The shahi paneer was bland and tasteless, and the roti was very thick. Breakfast was included in our package, but they refused to provide it. We paid Rupees 7000/- for one night, though I don’t think the room was worth more than Rupees 2000/-. We had a very bad experience.

The room was dirty, and despite repeated requests they didn’t provide an AC remote or bring the extra bed on time. We were told the bed arrangements had changed and we’d have to wait for the next staff shift. Around 10:30 pm, a staff member arrived, rudely tossed the extra bed and sheets onto the floor, and left. We had to make the bed ourselves. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If zero stars had been an option, that’s what I’d have chosen.

The hotel’s palace-like exterior is the only thing I liked. Staff were slow to respond, the food was awful, and the service didn’t meet what you’d expect from a hotel claiming to be 3-star. The rooms were extremely unclean. I even found spiders crawling around while I was trying to sleep, and the bathrooms wouldn’t drain. If you’re spending this much on a room, book somewhere else.

The food at this restaurant was tasteless. I wouldn’t visit this property.
