Moustache Hamari Haveli

Bhanu and Rajan looked after us amazingly well, and the service was very good. Hamari Haveli is a delightful, beautiful house, with wonderful breakfasts and dinners. It's close to the fort, and the main sites and shops are all within a 15 minutes' walk. Finding our way back at night was a little difficult, though Jaisalmer felt very safe.

The house help makes perfect chai, the kitchen is clean, and I spent time enjoying the artefacts and books, the cool air in the chowk, and tea on the terrace. Hamari Haveli felt like stepping into an old Jaisalmer home: quiet, private and warm, with details that draw you in. Cool stone floors, terrazzo underfoot, rustic fabrics and soft yellow light give it a lovely lived-in charm. Coming back for sure. Thank you Bhanu ji for your hospitality.

I had an amazing stay in this Haveli. It's very old but well maintained, preserving Jaisalmer's heritage in the city. Highly recommend staying here.

For a peaceful retreat in Jaiselmer, Hamari Haveli is hard to beat. It's a quiet, comfortable place in the middle of this rich and wonderful city, set in a calm neighborhood overlooking an intimate square where a cow ruminates and a couple of grannies share memories beneath a neem tree. Run by the Hotel Killa Bawan cousins, this two bedroomed town house has the character and style of that amazing eyrie high up in the fort. It's cleverly suited to two couples, a family, or even a writer wanting Jaiselmer's surroundings without distraction. This traditional old Haveli has a narrow inner courtyard open to the sky, with the two bedrooms upstairs and dining and sitting rooms below. There's also an ample, well equipped kitchen for self catering, or friendly staff can cater for you. At the top, the roof terrace gives you a good private space with seating and low tables. The place is decorated with care and style, and seems like it could quickly feel like home when you return from a foray into lively Jaiselmer.
