Our room was quiet, comfortable, and had beautiful wall paintings that made it feel special. The hotel grounds are lovely, and it’s well placed for sightseeing while still tucked away from the bustle. Breakfast was good, especially the coffee. After a six hour drive, we went to the Palladio restaurant at 7pm on Valentines night. The Maitre D could have been more welcoming. We were told a table might not be free until 9.30, and the whole exchange felt more awkward than it needed to. Since we were staying in two rooms at the hotel, we’d expected getting dinner there to be no problem. To be fair, a table was found fairly quickly, which we appreciated, and it was a busy night. The food was very good. One other small suggestion: it would have been nice to have some beers and other drinks in the mini fridge in the room.

The hotel grounds are lovely, the rooms are spacious, and staying there feels a bit like being in a small palace. We enjoyed a very good breakfast outdoors, with made-to-order eggs and Indian dishes as well as western options. The staff were friendly and helpful. It feels like an oasis away from Jaipur’s chaos, except when weddings or private events use parts of the grounds. Their music blared until after 10pm. Our room was far enough away that it was tolerable, but it was disappointing to feel that the hotel was putting private events ahead of its guests’ experience.

The bathroom had a strong, offensive foul smell, and I can’t tell whether it was just our room or the whole wing. I have a nagging suspicion the staff know about it and turn a blind eye. Everything else was lovely: peaceful rooms, great service, lots of delicious food choices, a quaint, romantic coffee shop, a beautiful landscape, and a refreshing pool. It felt like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the City.

The staff are what make Narain Niwas Palace Hotel special. Several have been there for over two decades, and it shows in the warmth, confidence, and sense of care in how they look after you. They made me feel like a returning guest, even on my first visit. There’s a great range of places to eat on the campus, all within walking distance: Café Orleans, Imperial Lancers, Palladio, and Shikaar Bagh. Each has its own atmosphere and food, so choosing where to eat feels like part of the stay. I also enjoyed the central courtyard boutiques. There aren’t many, and the selection is tasteful and restrained, in keeping with the hotel. The rooms have been upgraded for comfort, with modern space, amenities, and convenience. The changes feel carefully done, while the palace’s proportions, textures, and old-world character remain. Nothing feels over-polished or stripped of history. Narain Niwas Palace gets those details right. It feels authentic without being dated, comfortable without being generic, and warm without putting on a show. Highly recommended for a refined weekend retreat in Jaipur.

The peaceful setting and gorgeous heritage decor made the stay feel like living in an actual palace. We had a good, comfortable time at hotel Narain niwas palace, Jaipur. Breakfast was yummy, with a good spread that met our expectations, and the staff were commendable. There’s plenty to do on the premises, including shopping areas, cafés, a restaurant, ayurvedic massage, a spa area, and a swimming pool. The complimentary classical dance performance by a bone fire at night was a visual treat. We also saw lots of peacocks and other birds chirping in the campus garden. Room maintenance could be better, and indoor or outdoor games stations would be a welcome addition.
