The Ginger House

The owner was one of the best I’ve met, very polite, cooperative, and always ready to help. He personally looked after guests and made sure our stay went smoothly and comfortably. He even drove us to the Railway station in his own car. That warm hospitality made a big difference, and I’d definitely recommend this place for a Jaisalmer trip. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff polite and helpful, and the location was great. The food was tasty and hygienic. I had a very pleasant stay here.

The place is fairly new, and the rooms are nice. The food felt like home cooking, and the owner was especially kind. We left a cable behind, but when we called, he happily offered to bring it to us near the highway.

The family running The Ginger House were so friendly and made us feel at home. The rooms were clean and hygienic, just what you need as a traveler, and the food was delicious with a homely taste. I had a wonderful stay and will come back on my next visit.

Ricky Solanki ji and his wife helped us with everything, including booking our Thar desert activities and taking us to the Camel & Jeep Safari and the food and cultural program. He also shared useful tips for avoiding crowds, fraud, and pickpockets. At the railway station, he personally dropped us off as a complement. The food was a real highlight. Ricky ji and his family cooked traditional laal maas, dal, bati, churma, and our other meals. The dishes were far tastier and more tender than the same ones we'd tried at other hotels, and he even made churma as a gift without charging us. We also enjoyed sitting on the terrace, which is part of the host's home. The rooms were spacious, with clean, comfortable beds, a cozy window-side sitting corner, Rajasthani antiques, and spotless bathrooms. The Ginger House felt like a second home, and Ricky ji felt like an extended family member. I've stayed in hotels of every category and star level, but I've never loved a stay as much as this one. I'd recommend it over any other hotel.
