As a woman traveling alone, I felt they took care of my safety by assigning me a room near clear Cctv footage, so I was under safe vigilance. The staff were welcoming, and the comfortable room and excellent food helped make the stay memorable. Their hospitality and attention to detail stood out. Thanks for making my stay pleasant. I look forward to coming back.

The bedsheets weren’t clean, and the flooring was noisy. Prices were high too, for instance, one can of 25 rs was 95. They charged like a four-star hotel but gave service like a 3rd class lodge. They took the full tariff in advance, then refused the complimentary breakfast that had been offered before the booking discussion. Room service was pathetic. They wouldn’t clean the room when asked, even after we requested twice. The front desk executive said it would only be cleaned after checkout. Towels came on the second day, after I asked three times. When we asked to replace a water bottle because it wasn’t chilled, they told us to buy new bottles for cold water. They do things when it suits them.

I visited Hotel Le ROU, Jammu at Jammu Tawi Railway Station and politely asked to use the washroom. The staff refused outright, saying it was “under maintenance,” and didn’t offer any help or guidance. For a hotel at a major station, I expected basic courtesy and support, especially for travelers. This was a disappointing, unwelcoming experience. Based on how they treated someone asking for help, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to future customers. 😡😡😡

The service boys in the Dinning area were good. That’s about the only positive in what felt like a lodge with very poor service. There was no tea or coffee in the room. Each time, you had to go down to a small pantry cubicle, take a paper cup, and make it yourself. They gave us two half-liter water bottles; after those were used, you had to refill from a dispenser, and you can judge the water quality yourself. No reusable slippers either. After I complained loudly, they gave us bathroom slippers. The pillow covers were torn, the blanket smelled, and the washroom smelled too. There was no wardrobe, just an open setup with one hanger. For hot water at night, you had to fill your own bottle in the pantry. Don’t use a plastic bottle or it’ll melt.
