For an affordable stay in a central area, International Hotel on Residency Road, Jammu is a satisfactory budget choice if you aren't expecting luxury. It's a decent 2-star hotel, with simple, clean rooms suitable for a short stay. Staff were polite and cooperative, and the Residency Road location makes it easy to get to markets and transport. Good value for money.

Please check the rate before paying. Reception quoted me 2100 for the room, but the actual price was 1200. Guests shouldn't be misled like this. It was a very disappointing and dishonest experience, and I hope management takes it seriously and makes pricing transparent.

They accepted my booking a month ahead, then turned me away at the door, saying unmarried couples weren't allowed and giving us a weird look. I explained we were there on a work trip, but that didn't change anything. Thank goodness we'd booked another hotel. This place looked even weirder and dirtier than its online pictures. I'm giving one star only because there's no zero-star option.

The staff were good, and the hotel is near the temple. It's economical, around 1k to 1.5k. The hotel road is single lane, so big vehicles aren't allowed, and you need to take an auto from 500 m away. It's an old hotel, and the rooms and toilet weren't clean.
