The Tulsi

The food was the highlight of our stay at Hotel Tulsi Grand, Jhansi. The rooms were comfortable, the hotel was well maintained, and the atmosphere was nice. Staff stayed courteous, helpful, and attentive throughout. We had a very pleasant visit and would definitely recommend it.

The location made it easy to reach nearby places, and the food had a good range of options for different tastes. Staff were polite, cooperative, and ready to help. The Grand Tulsi Hotel had clean, well-maintained rooms with the basic amenities for a comfortable stay, plus a welcoming, peaceful feel. Service was satisfying and the price felt fair. A decent choice if you want somewhere pleasant and quiet.

I was told the single room cost Rs 2700 per day, and I booked it after being told GST was included and breakfast was complimentary. Three days later, when it was time to pay, they added Rs 500 a day for breakfast, Rs 1500 extra in total. When I pointed out what I'd been told, the receptionist denied it and insisted breakfast was complimentary. I know what happened, and being lied to like that was a very bad experience. The hotel isn't especially luxurious, though for its price it can feel luxurious compared with others in the same range. Still, I wouldn't recommend it in Jhansi. There are plenty of good hotels available for less.

The food was unexpectedly bad, and it took an hour to prepare. We went for dinner with my whole family, expecting the wait might mean the taste would be good, but we were wrong. It's a case of a fancy-looking shop with bland food. I wouldn't suggest going. If you still do, at least avoid dinner.
