Bob Hostel - Hakuna Matata

We came for two nights and stayed a whole week because it was so comfortable. The common area was especially cozy, and we spent most of our days there. The food was delicious and there was a wide variety to choose from. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful. The hostel is within walking distance of the clock tower. There are lots of stray dogs early in the morning and late at night, though, so it's better to avoid walking around then.

This doesn't feel like a hostel, it feels like my home away from home in Jodhpur. Kapil is like a brother. I enjoy being here more than going sightseeing when I'm in town. The rooftop view of the fort brings a special kind of peace, especially in the evenings when travelers sit together sharing stories from their adventures. I'll keep coming back. The terrace was the best part, with a really satisfying view of the fort. Having a mattress, bed, and swing there makes it feel extra special. The hostel was such a calm but lively place to chill, and staying there was one of our best experiences in Jodhpur. Loved it.

Getting a bed right away when I arrived at about 5.30 am was a definite plus. I stayed for a day, and it was okay for that length of time, but I wouldn't recommend a longer stay. The washroom and toilet are partly open at the top, which felt uncomfortable. Although my allocated room was completely empty, staff still wouldn't let me take the lower bed, saying it wasn't free. Nobody had arrived by the time I left the next day. The stairways are also very narrow, and I found them hard to climb and descend with or without my backpack.
