We stayed for three nights and paid 6000 in total. I thought that was a little high, though with the number of tourists in Jodhpur, I suppose it's supply and demand. The rooms were small but clean, and the tiny balcony wasn't very useful, with all the dust from the surrounding gully’s. The family run feel made it like being a guest in someone's home, and the staff were good. We chose the guest house for its location and views, and it delivered on both. I also appreciated that the owner was honest about what was promised and followed through. I commend him for setting up the business. I'll review the rooftop restaurant separately.

There's a small temple right next door, so mornings can get noisy very early. We were warned about that beforehand, so it didn't bother us, but light sleepers might find it an issue. Otherwise, it felt safe and homely and was amazing value. The family were welcoming and friendly, our room was clean and comfortable, and the location was great. The rooftop was a nice extra, always busy and serving great food. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it.

The only letdown was the answer when I asked about getting a rickshaw for 5 am. I was told it wasn't necessary because they were right outside all night, but that turned out not to be correct. The rest of my stay was great: the room was very clean, the food was good, and the fort is an easy walk away. I also loved relaxing on the rooftop patios.

There are historical sites nearby, the staff were friendly, and the outside noise was manageable for the price. But the owner made the place feel unwelcoming to me throughout my stay. When I asked about payment after a guide arrived, he told me to pay the guide directly and waved me away dismissively. At the rooftop restaurant he asked the other tables how their food was, but ignored me. There may be cultural differences, but it still felt off. Then at checkout he asked me to leave a review.

We followed a local recommendation and had dinner at this guesthouse. The Laal mas was so good that we ordered another full plate. It came hot with freshly made fulkas, and the cooking, spices and flavour were unforgettable. Anyone visiting Jodhpur should try it. We also met Dinesh ji, a travel guide by profession who loves photography. He took some really nice pictures of us with the rooftop view behind us. It was an amazing experience.
