OYO 14432 Jeelan Palace

We stayed for two nights, from November 5 to November 7, 2019, and had a bad experience. The hotel seems very calculating about charges, with the reception keeping control of everything. They kept switching off the ACs, which wouldn’t be turned back on unless we asked. At exactly 5 a.m. both mornings, the AC was shut down. We thought there might have been a power cut, since those happen there, and let it go at first. When we complained, reception argued there had been an outage, but there wasn’t one. And if there had been, why didn’t the AC come back on by itself? The same thing happened on the second night. We were literally suffocating and had to call reception to get the AC started. At checkout, the service boy was just waiting for us to ask him to carry our luggage. After paying a good amount, having to ask for basic services was frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

From the hotel you get a good view of Jodhpur’s walled fort, and the staff are helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The food is pure vegetarian but very tasty, and they can also arrange a city tour. It’s right in the heart of the city.

The facilities were good, but at reception I was told to cancel my OYO booking and book a room directly instead. He demanded more money. I was educated and didn’t get drawn into it, but that behavior was absolutely wrong. I don’t want to visit again.

The interiors look great, and the food was good. The staff were decent, too, and it’s very close to Jodhpur station. But the room we got was infested with bed bugs.
