Room 108 was large, clean, and lovely to look at, with enough space for our family of four. It had a balcony, and the rooftop views were great. The shower was hot, and soap and shampoo were provided. The manager kept everything running smoothly, and the chefs were brilliant. I loved the chai and meals, and because I’m GF they even made me a requested dinner at breakfast time. Raj Mandir is a really nice, safe place with padlocked doors. The location is on the edge of the blue part, within walking distance of the fort, and there are many lovely Stepwells. There’s lots to see, and at least 2-3 days are needed. The streets in the old town are too narrow for cars, so you need a tuk tuk to get there. Our driver didn’t know the hotel or English, but the Raj Mandir hotel arranged a cheaper return taxi and tuk tuk, and it all went smoothly. There was lots of rubbish and dung outside the entrance, though it gets cleared up. It’s noisy with tuk Tuks, prayer bells, and dogs. If you want quiet and don’t mind walking, stay further inside the blue part. I also like the castle view hotel, but its rooms were too small for us to have our children with us. If you stay there, make sure your driver drops you in the right area, since the 10 min walk with luggage was hard. In 2025 Google location doesn’t work. Not mapped.

The staff were exceptionally friendly. Chef Prem took care of our food requests, and Manager Mr. Avi gave us useful ideas for planning our stay in Jodhpur. I first stayed here in 2019 and enjoyed a wonderful stay both times. The property is beautiful, tucked into the old city, with stunning Mehrangarh Fort views from the balcony seating area. The room was spacious, and the washrooms were large too.

The staff were incredibly helpful with our trip to Udaipur. We couldn’t have managed it without them, and they made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Raj Mandir Hotel was a lovely surprise, with a peaceful heritage feel and charming, comfortable rooms. Everything we tried from the menu was delicious. I’d definitely come back!

Host Jimmy and his team welcomed us warmly from the first minute and made us feel at home. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Raj Mandir Boutique homestay is in an old, fully renovated building in the blue city, with nicely decorated rooms. There’s also a rooftoprestaurant with one of the best views of the famous Mehrangah Fort, about 15 min away on foot.

Cars can’t reach the property because of its old city location, so you’ll need to get dropped at Clock Tower or Jalore Gate and continue by auto. For families who are comfortable traveling by auto, it’s a great choice, with good service and amazing staff. The property sits in the old city and has lovely views of Mehrangarh Fort from the room’s balcony seating area. We enjoyed the spacious room and large washrooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly, especially Chef Prem, who handled our food requests, and Manager Mr. Avi, who offered helpful itinerary ideas and arranged auto rides for local travel.
