Hotel New Park

I’ve been a customer for the last three years, so this treatment was unexpected. I checked in at midnight and was told checkout was at noon, without anyone mentioning that beforehand. They also wouldn’t let me use a room for a couple of minutes, even though I’d paid 1680 INR for one night. The staff’s behavior was quite bad, and the room quality didn’t match the price.

The food was the one good part, excellent in both quality and quantity. The price they charge otherwise isn’t justified, and the place felt very unprofessional. During my stay the TV, AC remote, and intercom weren’t working. They also don’t provide a complimentary one-litre water bottle.

The location is convenient, and the rooms are clean, well maintained, and spacious enough. On my first visit, I stayed for a week and room service was excellent. The second time, service was a bit slow. The bathroom water quality is a concern, though, as it looks muddy.

What upset me most was the manager’s behavior toward my elderly parents. Breakfast never arrived even after we waited 45 minutes, so we had to cancel because we were running late for an event. The staff seemed poorly equipped, too. There wasn’t even a water bottle in the room, and the landline had no numbers for reception or housekeeping. The blankets smelled awful. I didn’t expect much given the low rate, but the stay was worse than I’d expected. I’d tell people to avoid this horrible hotel.
