The morning receptionist was a woman and did her work well. She was presentable and well mannered, though she should know how to communicate with guests. The food and service were nice, and the tea was awesome. At night, when we arrived to check in, the receptionist was asleep. It took us 20 minutes to wake him, and the man handling reception then was unprofessional and behaved pathetically. The two single rooms we took were unhygienic, which left us very disappointed. The timing was good. I hope you take this feedback positively.

The room quality was a nightmare for the price. We had a booking for two adults and one 15-year-old child at Rs 1400+, but Maina da said in person that, by his law, this couldn't be afforded. He suddenly charged us Rs 1800. The service quality was worse than stinky. I have photos but don't want to upload them because I want to give him a chance to learn some professionalism.

The property wasn't good, and all the rooms were dirty and unoccupied. We arrived early, but the person in charge said we couldn't enter or check in before 12. If the rooms were empty, they could at least have let us stay, but they didn't. What kind of service is that?

I booked the hotel through the oyo app and paid by UPI, but when I got there they asked me for an extra 1000 rupees. I don't know why they charged me more. They only let me enter the room after I paid. I don't know if this is part of oyo's rules and regulations, but I don't want to stay at an oyo hotel again. I'd advise others not to go to the Golden Orchid in Jorhat.

The smell filled the whole room, and the place felt dirty and suffocating. Easily one of the worst hotels in Jorhat. It felt like a place for animals, not people, and I’d tell anyone to stay away.
