I came to Kakinada for a conference and booked three nights, but checked out after less than five hours. I lost the full amount, since they wouldn’t refund it, and had to pay for another hotel too. The place was worse than a basic lodge, despite claiming to be a three-star hotel. The AC didn’t work, the flush and spray gun didn’t work, and the sheets were badly stained. I wouldn’t trust the reviews either, they all seem paid. There was nobody at reception to welcome us. When I called, they said the key was by the door and told me to take it. Later, when I called about the problems, nobody answered. Agoda and OYO support were no help either, they just said I had to adjust. When I left, no staff were there to check me out, so they told me to leave the keys on the reception table. The whole staff were irresponsible.

This is a mediocre budget hotel, suitable for sleeping, and you can compromise for a one-day stay if you don’t expect many facilities. The rooms are good and reasonably clean, and hot water is available, but there’s no room service, only self-service. There was just one receptionist, who didn’t seem to know the rules well, and I didn’t see anyone else to help with basic service. There’s no lift, so it’s not suitable for seniors or anyone with limited stamina. There’s no drinking water supplied. Cans are on the ground floor, so filling your bottle means going back and forth from the room. The AC in room 201 leaks water. You’ll need to arrange food through Zomato or similar. Autos are available, but parking on the public road isn’t guaranteed.

Water was a problem, especially at night, and the washrooms could be kept cleaner.

The hotel is centrally located in town, and it was clean and hygienic. A good place to stay, highly recommend booking.
