SPOT ON 43035 Udupi Sindhuri Inn

I was left shocked by how this was handled. I had booked through Ibibo and paid online in advance, at a price that was already quite high. I told the hotel I'd arrive in the evening for a four-night stay, and they agreed. When I got there, though, they refused to let me check in. They treated me like a criminal and said paying online was my mistake. They wouldn't give me a room unless I paid cash as well, effectively making me pay twice. It was already almost night, and with the hotel's no-cancellation policy on Ibibo, it felt like being held hostage. I called Ibibo, and they tried what they could from their side. The hotel staff were extremely rude and didn't try to understand that it wasn't my fault if oyo wasn't paying them. I can understand the position they may have been in, but refusing my check-in was wrong. This dragged on until 11:30pm, and I eventually left because they didn't help me at all. Their dispute with oyo, ibibo, or other platforms shouldn't be taken out on guests. The whole thing was unethical and unprofessional. I give them zero for hospitality, and wish Google allowed minus stars for treatment like this.
