The room was kept neat, and there's an Udupi hotel right next door, which covers the basics. The price is reasonable and the location is fantastic. My main annoyance was the old-fashioned way they manage energy use. I understand the goal, but having to call room service just to switch on the geyser is irritating. A little technology could help balance guest convenience with maintenance needs.
They advertise through OYO, but when I paid through OYO they wouldn't give me a room. They said they'd stopped working with OYO, yet the listing had apparently been there for months without being removed. We'd already stayed four days straight, but when we were just half an hour late at the end, they still asked us to pay for the whole day. Service was very poor, and the receptionist was rude. A very, very poor experience.
The separate beds were great, and everything was maintained really well. It was a comfortable stay for the price, with good service and friendly staff.
Good atmosphere, and it's close to the market.
The room rent was around 1500, but the room didn't feel worth even 500. There was no Wi-Fi and the room AC wasn't working. I don't understand why OYO shows fake hotel photos. I didn't expect this kind of service from OYO.
