OYO 80431 Hotel Diamond In

The bathroom was the worst part of my stay. Water draining from the AC dripped straight into the toilet. I can overlook getting a room in the far corner on the top floor, even though the staff asked if it was okay and I initially accepted it. But I can’t ignore that bathroom setup. I got a good Oyo deal for around Rs.500 and paid for the room through their system. It isn’t my job to make the property owner profitable. Even at Rs.500, I wouldn’t say this stay was worth it. They should learn how to treat customers before affiliating with OYO.

OYO, that was great. Superb service.

The host was rude and completely uncooperative when I contacted him, and told me to cancel the booking. I’d mistakenly booked for one guest instead of two, realized it about 30 minutes before reaching the property, and asked him and customer service to change it. It was late at night, my father was the other guest, and I had booked a room, not a bed space. When I explained how hard it would be to find another room, he basically told me to go to hell. He didn’t help me upgrade or seem to care about my money, so I cancelled late at night and had to spend another 1000 bucks because of his attitude. I’d been a happy OYO customer for years, but OYO in Kochi has always disappointed me. We only used it for an overnight stop while travelling from Palakkad to Cochin. I’m disappointed less about losing money than about having my time and requests ignored. Staff in the hotel industry should be friendly and caring, and at the very least speak politely and help guests. I hope OYO takes this seriously if it wants to be a trustworthy, customer-friendly brand.

My OYO stay was a disaster. Even with a confirmed booking, they refused me a room because they were overbooked. The staff were incredibly rude and shouted at me as if I’d planned to stay for free. Completely unprofessional. Think twice before booking with OYO.
