Royal Residency

Breakfast was amazingly delicious, and the staff were very supportive. I had a comfortable stay at RR, with clean, spacious rooms. Very good value for money!

We waited in the lobby with our luggage for over 40 minutes to check in, and no one explained the delay. For the price, the rooms aren’t very big. There was no toilet paper at check-in and no hot water in the evening. The room also had no lockable safe or tea and coffee sachets. The cupboard and walls showed wear and needed maintenance. Overall, it didn’t feel worth the money.

The one good thing is that there are some good restaurants nearby. Otherwise, I don’t think this hotel deserves anything close to two stars. The rooms are extremely small, and the staff aren’t very helpful, their replies may as well come from an AI. There are no bellhops or chauffeur service, and the answer was, “Use Uber.” Breakfast was mediocre, with barely anything worth praising. Either the service needs improvement or the hotel’s rating should be lowered.

The AC never cooled properly, and even the bedspreads made me itch. The in-room menu card was torn and oily, which gave a poor impression of hygiene and maintenance. There was a filthy smell in the bathroom, leaking taps, and cleanliness overall was below standard. The front desk staff were unhelpful and tough to deal with. A very poor experience, and not worth the stay.
