Nagagiri Comforts

It’s a convenient place to stay between Horanadu and Kalasa, but the flyover construction seems to have taken away some of its earlier charm. I’d stayed here before, including on my January 2026 trip and again this past week, and it didn’t feel the way it used to. On my last visit, the in-house kitchen also wasn’t fully running because Manoj had gone to his hometown, so dinner and snacks were very limited.

Zoro, the Labrador, was such a cutie. I miss him! We were two women travelling to visit Maa Annapoorneshwari, and the owners arranged a vehicle for us to see Maa sharadha in shrigeri as well. Our return bus was around 9 p.m., so the owner asked the driver to pick us up right at the property and made sure we got on safely. The staff were well behaved and took good care of everything we needed. The scenic location and lovely ambience made for a wonderful stay.

A nice family place with spacious rooms right by the river. The staff were friendly and quick to help, though the facilities could use improvement. When we visited, there weren’t any food options at all.

The river next to the property and the small hanging footbridge make it feel adventurous, and groups can have a lot of fun here. It’s in a great location. With kids, though, it may not work well: there’s nothing nearby, and the kitchen doesn’t open until after 7:30 AM. There was also no help carrying luggage to the first floor, which could be difficult for older people.
