Centrum Hotel by Brijwasi

We were refused extra chole with our chole bhature, which was surprising. Local chole bhature shops are more generous and welcoming. The staff at Brijwasi Sweets were also very rude to me and my family, and didn't even provide basic things like tissues. They wouldn't let us taste sweets unless we paid ₹27 per piece. Charging just to sample them felt unreasonable for a reputed shop. Very disappointing visit.

I went to Mathura with my family and had lunch at Brijwasi Centrum. We were charged good prices and service charges, yet the washrooms were filthy and poorly kept, with no toilet paper or other basic amenities. The meal was average at best, nothing memorable, and the staff were casual and unprofessional, as though serving paying customers were a favor. The outside looks impressive and the location seems good, but that's where the positives stop. Even after we bought bottled water there, they wouldn't give us paper cups and expected us to pay ₹2 each. The small charge wasn't the point, it was the attitude, and I've never had that happen at a hotel or restaurant before. The experience felt overpriced and badly managed. Better staff training, courtesy and cleanliness could help, but based on my visit I wouldn't recommend Brijwasi Centrum.

The food was okay, but the staff made the visit a nightmare. One employee, a short, heavy-set guy, was arrogant and rude, speaking to customers as if we were bothering him and showing no courtesy or interest in helping. It felt like they thought serving food was a favor. That behavior was shocking and unacceptable. If you expect basic respect and decent service, avoid this Mathura restaurant.

I was buying pedas and asked if I could taste one before paying, but the staff member said no. For an expensive sweet shop earning crores, refusing a sample is a real drawback, and that kind of behavior isn't worth the prices. The stay is okay, though. The hotel management staff were wonderful and spoke gently, unlike the restaurant staff. Fine for staying, that's all.
