I booked through Oyo, but GPay said OYO hadn't accepted the booking and the amount would be returned in 3 working days. At the same time, Oyo sent me a booking confirmation email and WhatsApp messages. I wanted to confirm the booking so I wouldn't run into trouble on the day of the trip. I called Oyo's customer center and explained what had happened, but they left me on hold for 15 minutes and nothing came of it. I tried the hotel reception number, which was also an Oyo number, but nobody answered. Oyo doesn't share the hotel's contact details directly, so I had no way to check with them. I cancelled and booked another hotel. This is the worst part about Oyo. If you book through them, have a backup plan. Some friends of mine had Oyo bookings the hotel wouldn't accept, and they only found out after reaching the property.

The cottage has a nice feel and sits outside town, with a price that’s easy on the pocket. I enjoyed the farm setting, coffee and tea plantations, and village food. Just don’t come expecting luxury service.

Driving here was difficult. The route on Google Maps was confusing and didn’t seem accurate, and even though the broader Kerala directions were fine, it showed a small road that was hard to navigate by car.

A really bad stay. The room had no lights, the bathroom was filthy, and when we contacted the owner, Mr. Abbas, he treated us very badly.

There’s plenty of space here, and it’s just near vythiri choondal. The road in is a little off-road, but it seems like a good place for families or bachelors to visit.
