Food was great, with a good buffet spread, and there were decent activities like rope challenges, machine bowl cricket, carom and TT. It’s a good place for a day outing, though the facilities could use some improvement. The location is a drawback, quite far out in the wilderness.

The owners were warm and cooperative, and the staff were very courteous. We stayed in tents that were neat and clean, though they could put a little more effort into cleanliness. It’s close to nature and cheerful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

You can hear nature around you, and it makes you want to stay another day. The place is isolated from traffic and honking, but not too far from Kalpetta. Food was really good and reasonably priced. There are two dogs, a rabbit, swans, turkeys, monkeys, chickens and hens roaming around, plus lots of birds. Simple and comfortable, with excellent hospitality. I’d recommend it to families and groups of friends.

A bonfire can be arranged, and BBQ is available on request for a fee. Snacks for the evening include onion pakoras, chicken kebabs, omelettes, boiled eggs and salad. The owner, Praveen, was helpful and looked after our requests. There’s room for the property to improve, but the stay was decent and left us with lovely memories. For the price, we got a reasonable place with breakfast and dinner, so expectations should stay modest. Breakfast was simple: bread, butter, jam, poori, Sagu, Dosa, chutney, sambhar, coffee and tea. Dinner was chapathi with chicken curry and chicken fry, followed by rice with dhall or sambhar and a vegetable poriyal. Water came in reusable glass bottles in the rooms, as they want to avoid plastic. It’s a cozy, reasonably priced place. It may suit bachelors, groups of women, biking or trekking groups; families may also be fine, though I’m not sure they’ll like the limited luxuries.
