The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the amenities were good. The location near Star inn and the railway station was convenient. Still, I thought the rate was high for the quality of the room, probably because of the station nearby. It was a decent stay, but I’d look at other places in the area for better value. Pros: clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, convenient location. Cons: overpriced for the location.
We were in a hurry to bathe before an exam, so we checked into the dormitory at 7.30 am and left at 8.15 a.m. The receptionist said there were no rooms, only a dormitory. First he asked for 1500 and extra. When he realized we were leaving without using the dormitory, he said that since there were four of us, he’d adjust the amount to 330 per person, making it 1340. We had to leave quickly, so I gave him 1500 and asked for the change. He then asked for 40 rupees more and gave me only 100 back, keeping the rest. This was the old man working there. If anyone can report the receptionist’s behavior to the authorities, it could help others avoid being treated this way.
The AC in my booked room still wasn’t working an hour after check-in. I complained several times, but the staff didn’t fix it or even respond. The room and bathroom were also not clean at all. It was the worst hotel stay of my life.
We had a very comfortable stay in a good room. The receptionist was a very good person, and we felt good there.
It’s close to the railway station, but the facilities don’t match the price. I paid 1280 for a single room, which is high compared with similar lodges. There’s no Wi-Fi, no good blanket, and no extra service. The only added item was a sample soap. The room is spacious, but the amenities are sparse.
