Capital O 46218 Royal Cottage

The owner is good, and the service is good too. It’s a premium hotel, with a good, spacious room.

I stayed for about 2 days in Jan 2023 while attending a wedding. The food was the standout for me, with great quality and variety across breakfast, lunch, supper, and dinner. The rooms were good regardless of whether it was a single bed room or double bed room. Basic things were up to standard, including a clean washroom, toiletries, and clean sheets. There’s decent parking, plus an elevator that makes getting upstairs and moving luggage easier. The locality is posh. Vijay Intercontinental is right across the road, and saloons, tailors, and paid guest parking are nearby.

The rooms were neat and quiet, with friendly staff and no disturbance. They also let me wait a few hours after checkout, which was a big help. So yes, five stars.

The rates are reasonable, and you can book the whole hotel as a package for ceremonies if you arrange it well in advance. It’s on the main road, easy to reach, with parking outside only. There are room choices from single rooms up to 6 beds, and an extra person can stay with an additional mattress. Food is average. The rooms have basic amenities and toiletries, and there are a couple of halls for programs with catering arrangements.
