Hotel Sun World

The rooms were good, and the balcony sea view was excellent. I also liked the flower display at reception, which gave off a really fresh fragrance. The lobby and all the corners were clean. They need to improve the washroom cleanliness.

The location is close to busy streets, but the parking was far away, and we had to walk through dingy alleys to reach the hotel. The reception staff kept speaking loudly and rudely while we were checking in. Inside, the bathroom was filthy, with very dirty, worn tiles and a rotting door. The bed linen and pillows were so stained they shouldn't still be in use. This was an absolutely awful experience, and there's no excuse for giving rooms like this to anyone.

I'm not totally happy with the facilities. Some rooms have a good view, but the washroom isn't very good. They should have Wi-Fi in the room and a toothbrush there too.

We were close enough to walk to the railway station and bus stand. The "end of the world" / most southern tip of India and the ferry to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial were easy to reach from here. We also want to thank the reception team for making check-in quick and easy. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. From the balcony and the small couch inside, we had awesome views of the sea, the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, and the sunrise. Even without a sea view room, you can head up to the huge rooftop for the view. The only downsides were no Wi-Fi and no hot water.
