At over Rs 1400, our room was still a cheap option, and the staff were well mannered. I'd recommend it if you're only staying for a day, but for longer stays, consider other options, preferably in Middle Pelling. Green Leaf Resort looked great from the outside and had large rooms, so it felt more like a homestay than a hotel. From our balcony we could see Mt Kanchenjunga, though trees blocked part of the mountain. For a considerably good view, ask for Room 301 or 302. The room had a heater, electric kettle and tea sachets, but bring warm clothes because the heater wasn't enough. Food wasn't that great and choices were limited. There was no buffet breakfast, just a few options like Puri Sabji, Cornflakes and Bread toast. Service could have been better too. Most of the time nobody was at reception, and they often didn't answer calls. I reckon they were short staffed or something.

I stayed one night in the first week of April 2025. The property is very good, with delicious food and very down to earth staff. The shared area in front of the room is a nice added advantage if you're coming with a group. Keep in mind it's far from the city, which makes getting to other restaurants and shops difficult.

The garden all around the well maintained hotel was lovely, and the rooms had a great view. Food was nice and service was good. The one downside was the basement dining area, which was stuffy and had a constant lavatory smell. Luckily, we got to eat at the large square tables outside our rooms. Everything else was good. Thanks, Green Leaf Resort!

The staff were kind and friendly, and the food was too good. The location is good, though hotels higher up had a better view. On the first day I got a stinking blanket and insect bites overnight. The next day they gave me a good room, and it was cleaned well. The geyser didn't work well either day, so I had to bathe in cold water. My tour guys didn't help with this. It's an old property that needs minor renovation while keeping its beauty, for example the restaurant benches, cushions and fabric, warm lights, pastel theme, and leaky taps. The geyser mainly needs attention.

The rooms were very clean and neat, with excellent service, breakfast and dinner. The manager and staff were very good and supportive. Recommended for tourists staying in Pelling.
